And to also be fair, that's what happens when you marry the first guy who was nice to you as a kid and then drag him off to the altar without any time spent as adults or even a real engagement period. Everyone that actually watched the anime and has more than 2 braincells knows that Goku was absolutely the best father he could be given the situations they were in, he cared and loved Gohan and was always with him when he needed except when he has fucking dead or training to protect Gohan and the planet.
