A clone of Ai, the late son of some scientist, and with whom Mewtwo mentally grew while in a mutual stasis, helping them both pull through the process. Ai2 eventually passed, too, which goes toward explaining Mewtwo's maligned outlook on things (at least in the Japanese version; there's some difference in Mewtwo's mentality between the original and dubbed versions).
