Comments making requests of artists almost always get downvoted into oblivion. Artists don't use this site, and comments addressing them directly are completely pointless, bordering on spam. Especially when they're complaining about things happening to their waifus and their precious ships.

Because the artist don’t use this site, and aren’t even the one uploading the images, unless you see the tag self upload. If you want to tell them your opinion go to the source and leave the artist a comment. Also completely personal opinion ganyu x keqing better.

The original artist and uploader on this site is different, you will 99% never see any original artist on this site. The source is in the left sidebar, so go there, reply on their tweet, hope (and pray) that they see your comment, maybe and only maybe they will reply, but very very unlikely they will do what you want.

It's not about his opinion, it's that the entire comment is directed at the artist, making it a waste of a comment no matter what the subject. The large number of downvotes is also more a result of the repeated bumping of the post, allowing more people to see the "offending" comment.
Personally, I find comments trying to tell an artist what they should draw, even if it's presented as "just an opinion" rather distasteful, but I'm not one of the voters.

I've learned both the easy way and the hard way that the culture on this site is very by-the-book, and fixed in its ways when it comes to rules, and tends to not let go of old rules even when the site itself does. I've seen it happen to others, and it's happened to me, heavy downvoting for violation of an unspoken etiquette that the old-guard expects us all to know. I share your sentiment about pile-on censorship, and I expect we'll both bear the brunt of it for saying this, but I decided to stop caring.
That said, I don't think this is really a case of that. It's just a case of all but 3 or 4 of the people who want to send the message about the logistics not really caring enough to put the message into words, which I think is a problem unto itself, but at least a different one.

I think the reason your post is downvoted is two fold. First is the already stated comment that this is the wrong place to adress the artist. Secondly I believe there are people who enjoy said works and don't like people condeming their fetishes. This feeling of being under attack is probably magnified in people with fetishes that are considered less socially acceptable to openly enjoy like rape and NTR. There's a likely a feeling of being punched down against. For example I rarely see anyone openly proclaim their love for rape and NTR fantsies, even if demand is large since said genres are prominent in hentai. However there are always people openly disdaining those genres.
At the same time vanilla depictions are commonly celebrated and rarely disdained because those genre are extremely safe to root for.
As for my own opinions on this particular ship, I actually prefer the ChiLume ship, a normie view yes but it appeals to me. I do find Nyantcha's crazy rapist interpretation to be rather interesting even if I completely disagree with how closely it fits the character. I do love this artists Aether x Keqing content though.
