She's using them to steal food. peasants can't talk back to nobles.
I'm not so sure, she could be trying to exchange it, and the vender is panicked and refusing because it's probably worth more than his entire store. It tends to be difficult for commoners to actually sell noble class jewelry.

If she was trying to exchange it, she'd take it off, she's presenting it as a clear sign of "I'm a noble, try and stop me." which fits long hair's personality.

I think you're giving her way too much credit, they can barely even speak, and in a later page she bites the end off a wooden fork for no apparent reason. That's not really the face of someone being mugged, either.

Ok stealing wasn't the proper term she is clearly holding that pendant as a sign showing her "rank" which she learned from her fop of a master, and is pointing at something with clear indication she wants it. They might not be able to talk normally, but they're not idiots.

What about her gesturing that she wanted an exchange but only was suggesting it? I like how you jump straight to her threatening that commoner, but when exchanging something, straight off giving your end of the deal don't work quite well.
Wear these, and everyone will think you're a bunch of noble brats. They're necklaces affordable only by the upper class of this city.As long as I'm taking care of you, don't think you'll ever escape this level of attention. So how does it feel to be looked at the complete opposite way from when you had to grovel on the ground?Take as many as you want.
