This story reminds of a war story I heard about a fighter(I think is a p40) that was rebuilt and refurbished by Filipinos and Americans during ww2.Once it took of,the fighter flew until it reach Taiwan and the pilot got shot.He died from blood loss but the plane continue to fly until it reach china at which point it ran out of fuel and crash.

And also to top it off, due to it being rebuilt from atleast two planes, it had a Frankenstein look.
