Velvet Revolution happened in 1989, and the dissolution of Czechoslovakia happened in 1993. Desert Storm, meanwhile, was in 1991. This seems like a strangely specific combination of things.
Strictly speaking, that's most likely a vz. 58 rifle, not an AK. Unlike a lot of Warsaw Pact forces, the Czechoslovak Army didn't use Kalashnikovs (or locally built AK clones, e.g., the Yugoslav M70); the vz. 58 looks very similar on the outside, and uses the same ammunition, but its internal operating system works on a different principle.
