Judging by the extremely dangerous and possessive people fighting over Marisa, someone's gotta stop them before they all end up with equal parts of Marisa.

Flan was always part of Marisa's "Harem". I put that in quotes because I would say its more about the One-sama complex rather than the Yuri thing. now Remilia x Reimu on the other hand.......

Reimu's harem consist of all her partners. Marisa's Harem consists of all her partners. Throw in the scarlet sisters. Remilia for Reimu and Flandre for Marisa. Who started it? who knows. But i'm all up for the next game featuring Remilia and Flandre as viable partners.
The "Remilia x Reimu" pairing mostly stemmed from Reimu letting Remi go even after causing trouble in EoSD, and is one of the few who can tolerate her. Remi in turn grew fond of Reimu and is probably her first friend outside the SDM. To those who still don't know, the "partners" are Reimu or Marisa's support in Subterranean Animism. Reimu has Aya, Suika and Yukari; Marisa has Alice, Patchouli and Nitori. All of them are now "elevated" to "harem girls" of either character. And then there's the principal "Reimu x Marisa" shipping, of course. Since Remi grew fond of Reimu (and thus became part of her "harem"), artists now also depict Flan with Marisa to "balance" things out. But now it seems that Reimu's is now growing with the entrance of Sanae (the "Luigi" to Reimu's "Mario").
