Looks like Komachi is using distance manipulation to literally play with herself. Iku can't even tell if she's going to hit or miss the ball on a given swing, so she'll lose once the Shinigami really decides to place the ball beyond her reach.

I think this is more Komachi's plan to raise her stock with Yama, and I think it is working
