Not-so fun fact... the 5 birds most likely represent the Sullivan brothers who all died on Juneau when she sank. If we want to try and spectate... the 3 in the back are the 3 who died in the magazine detonation from being torpedoed by I-26, the one in the water to the right is the one who drowned shortly afterwards, and the one she's holding would be the one who jumped out of the life raft he occupied (possibly due to mania from losing his 4 brothers) and died prior to being rescued.

This one was of the key incidents causing the US Military to adopt the "Sole Survivor" policy which basically is there to prevent parents from losing all their children due to them being on the same ship/plane/unit at once.
