Hold on a minute. If you start off with the crust i.e., the lamest part of the pizza, then all you have left is the part with all the delicious toppings.

You'd also lose the supporting part of the slice. If you eat it like a normal person you can hold it by the crust, if you eat it like a sociopath you have to balance it on your hand and move it around on top of it in order to eat it.
The only time it would make any sense to eat it like that is if your eating a whole pizza instead of a number of slices.
Plus you can always use a dip to finish of the crust, no such option if you eat it first.

I have a friend, who to this day, when they get pasta or spaghetti that comes with sauce on it, he asks for a bowl of hot water and ketchup, then proceeds to wash the pasta/spaghetti of all its sauce off and then eat it with ketchup sauce. Everytime I see him do it, I can feel the rage and cries of every Italian in the world.

I eat pizza slices roughly in circles, because just the toppings part is usually too salty at the center and just crust is, of course, too bland. So my hand is constantly turning one way or the other while eating.
