Of course, Haruhi gets the most badass looking one of them all.

The design is based on The World from Jojo and the identity is Amaterasu Oomikami, The Sun Goddess.

So it looks like everyone's persona is, as was the case in the game, chosen to be (or designed similar to) a character similar to their personality. I.E. Yuki's was Rei's Evangelion, Kyon got Gintama's resident deadpan snarker, and Haruhi gets The World.

You know, given her personality, you'd think she'd be chariot.
