I don't understand how they conceive humans though, she's a human, and he/it's a presumably inter-dimensional cosmic horror of some sort. What's more, it's two baby boys! What is this the bible or something?

Seeing how humans were created in the Cthulhu Mythos, this isn't too surprising.
