I'm going crazy, Yato got a major glowup from 2* to 6* operator, moreover she wear Kirin armor.. One of my favorite MH's monster of all time. I'm not gonna repeat the same mistake as R6 collab by missing Ash. I will definitely get this Yato alter, I'm so happy and can't wait for her to come to global.

Im honestly gonna save everything from now until it releases for the west so i can get her highest potential.
You can buy gold pot tokens from exchange shop and IS shop, if you haven't bought them. Cheaper than spending 400+ pulls minimal for max pot.
IS doesn't have a shop, I assume you mean CC. IS2 does have 4 Royal Specialist tokens in the reward list, though.
Royal Specialist tokens would cost a fortune in gold certificates. One potential is equivalent to 76 headhunting tickets. Assuming average odds when pulling, One 6★ every 50 pulls, eight 5★ every 100, worst case scenario is 900 pulls for one potential. This is assuming all of them are dupes, but none are redeemable. Assuming every received dupe is redeemable, the total drops to 265 pulls per one potential. If you've saved the tokens from CC and IS2, it would cost 795-1800 pulls for max pot using gold certificates. By that point, you would probably have just gotten max potential from gacha alone.
You would also be waiting a long time. Exchange shop only has four Royal tokens per two weeks, and they're not always going to be Specialist tokens.

Cheap + good =/= quick Cheap + quick =/= good Good + quick =/= cheap
Potentials in Arknights aren't must have, and MH collab for Global is still 7-8 months away. In the meanwhile CN server might announce new limited operators that's more interesting than Yato/Noir Alter. Yes, they're True Limited that NEVER will be rerun, unlike other limited that will have 'rerun' eventually as spooks in other event banner, but for gacha games putting all of your premium currency in one character is generally considered a bad idea unless you're a whale.

I don't even understand your point now. You suggested it would be cheaper to just buy potentials, which isn't true. Your original point was wrong. Buying potentials is actually more whale than just rolling the gacha. Even if you took recruitment into account when calculating the potential (pun not intended) cost, it would still cost way too many certificates to be worth buying over other options. No one would ever seriously recommend doing that unless you were already dumping large sums into the game.
This isn't about whether or not max pot is even worth doing, this is about the most efficient way to do it if that's your goal. And buying Royal tokens is definitely not it.

The point is unlike spending all your orundum in the banner, you can get potential from other sources. You just need to wait patiently.

Im whaling on all the saved up stuff simply because it is the Monster Hunter Collab, don't really care all for meta, if she is good or not, Waifu > META. Plus one of my favorite Monster Hunter armors, since i have played monster hunter for 14 years.

This is the correct mentality. Orundums aren't used for anything else, they're useless if you're not spending them on gacha. They have to be spent some time, and on a banner for someone you really want more than anything else is the best time.
The "just be patient" advice is also just super unrealistic. If you were relying on gold certs alone, it would take on average over a million orundum to afford all the tokens. Even taking things like recruitment into account, you're still guaranteed over a year for pot6, possibly even two years or more. Otherwise, you're just hoping Hypergryph hands out some tokens, which isn't reliable at all. Why wait that long for your waifu?
You're also actually statistically favored by just rolling on the banner. Even assuming you never roll Yato, besides the guaranteed one in the first 120 pulls, it only takes 120 limited banner points to exchange for her, so at max it can't take you more than 600 pulls, and that's statistically unlikely.
And none of this even considers the currently available royal specialist tokens. In summary: don't buy royal tokens with certificates unless you're a huge whale, at which point how you spend your orundums is irrelevant.
