Not what I'd think, your conception needs more analysis on Quarians before you go guessing they look human. All the other species resemble humans only in the fact they are sapient and humanoid, so why and HOW are the quarians any different, especially if they get disease just by getting an open-air exposure, and have to run around in Environmental suits all the time?
Kuro. One, there's a simple in-universe explanation as to why they need the encounter suits. Their immune systems are scrammed from living on spaceships their entire lives.
Two, chill out. No one knows what they look like, and we probably never will. The concept art makes them look human like, at least.
Kuro. Why would they look like humans simply because they are humanoid and sapient? Other than the asari and barely passing the Drell, none of the other races look human. Salarians look like Geckos, Krogans are dinosaurs, Turians are a bird/reptile hybrid, Hanar are jellyfish, etc, etc.
This is just a theory frim getting evidence from playing ME. Glowing eyes with eyelids, a human-like nose. They definitely have lips since they can form words.
Not sure about the hair but heres something to think about. The Geth must have a reason for mimicking human religion instead of the Asari Philosophy or other religion (they never said it openly but they have hinted towards it). They are doing all this to understand why the Quarians made the choices they made. Adding these two together pretty much points at the fact that Quarians are VERY similiar to humans in more ways than one.
I could be wrong but its a theory with evidence. So dun go around flaming other ppl until you yourself think it over.
BTW, Personally I think Tali would look a little younger than that as she is only 24 years old.
Indeed. And actually, its not that the aliens think like humans but its because that Humans are so wide ranged in differences sooner or later you will bump into one that have similiar beliefs to a certain species of alien. Mordin spoke about this on his loyalty quest.

How long is the average lifespan of a quarian actually? A few hundreds years old asari can still be considered young because of their very long lifespan. But a quarian?
From what it seems, Quarians have the same lifespan as humans and Turians. However because of their weak constituion, lifespan is meaningless and is replaced with a Mortality rate which 'roughly' states Quarians do not live very much pass 60. She also considered a young adult cuz the Pilgrimage is a Rite of Passage to adulthood which she took at 21 so that solidifies the fact of her state of age.
The reasons for the other aliens' difference of lifespan are as follows:
Salarians have a much shorter lifespan because their metabolic rate is about 4(not very certain about number) times faster than humans. So they actually have to slow down for other ppl to understand them as well as onnly needing 1 hour of sleep everyday.
Asari have an extremely high cellular regeneration system (not to be mistaken for healing factor) which means they replace dead cells and keeps their organs vital longer, thus slowing down their aging tremendously.
Krogan are already built hardy and then adding the fact they have redundant organs like a second heart and nervous system and multiple other major organs. Nuff said on explaining why they can live up to a thousand as well.
Update: After some reading, I found out, yes Quarians DO look like humans except that their 'ears (or ear)' is not the same as a humans as well as only having 2 fingers/toes on each hand/feet. Thats all.
If you play ME (either) you can see humanoid face behind the helmet. I wonder if in ME3 they will show Quarians under the helmet, I hoped that it whould show it in ME2 Tali sex scene, but noooo.
Well actually if you compare a human and quarian body type. Aside from the fingers and toes, they have mammary glands and larger thighs and in general a more human body type like the asari. And the asari look very much like humans aside from their "hair" So it's not impossible for a quarian to look human since if you look at the face, atleast Tali's she has a human nose and since she most likely kissed shepard if you romance with her then she prolly has semi compatible lips. And as Jiubei said because he liked her and didn't cringe she prolly looked like a strange colored human. o.o

Geth probably don't have any form of religion, considering that they think at the speed of light, they could have an explanation for anything that could be perceived as a "miracle" or "divine intervention" or other some such.
Regardless, Quarians and Humans looking identical is also unlikely due to humans having our form of DNA and the Quarians having Dextro-DNA
MadGeneral, it's said some time in Mass Effect 2 that Quarians have such a weak immune system because their home world's germs actually improved them.
Finally, I didn't mean to flame, I actually meant to correct, sorry if I sound(ed) otherwise
To Kuro: The Geth do sort of have a Religion... The Heretic group of Geth see the Reapers as Gods remember? 'Old Gods' this and 'robot Gods' that.
Another notion is by listening to Legion talk about the origin of the Geth and it is pretty hard to not see them as religious very.... 'Ten Commandment'sy
The 'normal' Geth are also sort of religious as they still hold the Quarians in high regards even if they are killing each other as they were the ones who created them. However this is not really the explanation.
The real reason why the Geth SEEM religious is stated by Legion. They are all imitating human religious protocol to better understand why the Quarians did what they did. Also Legion also pointed out that they decided to do so because religious-ness fits the Geth's overall mindset best among all other types of civilisation and honestly they couldve picked a whole lot worst... Do not think the galaxy will be in a good shape if they decided the Krogan mindset fitted them most...
I suppose the best way to describe the Geth are... christian scientists...? Trying to explain Religion with science and yet keep their faith in whatever it is they believe in.
And although you make a valid point about being able to explain anything. They can't actually. The main example is when legion used a bit of Shepard's armor to fix himself. Shepard pointed out that he could have used much stronger materials and repaired himself at a much earlier time, and when pushed to answer, all Legion could say is that he does not have an answer to why he did not do so. And the fact that his lens flaps moved about quite noticeably, Legion was thinking very hard.
As for how they look like you have to note that other than maybe facial features and the positioning of... body parts, The Quarian look plenty different from Humans.
The ppl at Bioware have stated that the Quarian face looks very much human except that their ears are very different. How different, we do not know.
The average Quarian is alot smaller and thinner than the average human but that could be becuase of the low constitution.
They have 2 toes and fingers on each hand and leg.
The lower legs are more arched backwards and their feet are much longer than a human's.
And their eyes glow bright enough to show a slight silhouette of their face. Thats a pretty obvious difference unless they all epitomize renegade -_-;;
So I think its closer to say that the Quarians just happen to have the right similarities to a human and enough of them to attract the other species. And Tali is definitely attracted to male Shepard.
Oh as for the germ thing. No the Quarian homeworld does not have germs. -_-
You mistook it for plants. "pollen and microscopic plants" I think those were the words used. The quarians ingest them and these plants substitue as their immune system.
One more thing to note is, I think the 'hard' part of the Quarian is their suit. It has to be made to be able to endure the elements and not be too soft or it will tear too easily.
I might be jumped for this but my first impression that I got from this pic was a sort of Hinata look, but then upon retrospect, it's probably the eyes that gave that away to me. Aside from that, this seems to be a lovely match up if it were the actual Tali face, and for that I raise my glass to the artist!

Geth aren't religious, they're philosophical. A philosophy gives answers to unknowable answers, such as "Why are we here" and "What happens after death?". Legion said this himself. A religion implies a belief in one or more supernatural deities. While all religions function as philosophies, not all philosophies are religions.
