This applies for almost every pool now. Lately, for example, someone started hurling pics in the heartwarming one without even thinking about the thread description. It was easy to perform a cleaning there in the past, throwing out one or two pics that clearly didn't belong, but now it feels really awkward - you would have to throw out every second pic on the last five pages.
It's not exactly abuse, you can justify it in various ways (and people do when the addition is questioned), but that kind of ruins the whole purpose behind the pools - collecting the most description-fitting examples. With the loose pool standards lately, there's no point in browsing the pools, if they're filled with pics that barely, if at all, fit the criteria.

Why not help clean them out? If someone gets bitchy that a picture was removed, explain why it was removed.
I agree that the pools have very little point to them now. Didn't someone change the "Nice Knowing You" pool because too many people thought it and "Badass" were the same thing?
