Open them underwater, that's how you avoid most of the smell, then you can either wash, or simply fish out the can and then remove any bones you might see in the fish. Then prepare some flat cracker/bread, sour cream, onions, cream cheese and cut spring onions along with some potatoes. It is still an acquired taste on all counts though.

Its weird though. I can eat durian but I cant handle this fish.
