I didn't imagine the story like this.
I was thinking more like if the drug wasn't successfully done since it's still experimental and cost his life.

I have no idea how it goes in SnK, but my impression when watching this was that Oyama killed himself. Dunno if "just" the drug failing would drive her to suicide.
