I know uploaders are on a real upload kick for Blue Archive atm, but they could at least check that an image wasn't already uploaded hours earlier. It's really clogging up the catalogue with all these repeat images right now.

This version is a higher quality image than the one that was posted earlier. The earlier post has significantly more compression artifacts than this one.

Fair enough. Like don't get me wrong, I generally like Blue Archive fanart most of the time, but it's weirdly feeling lately like a group of uploaders are trying to turn this into a Blue Archive fanart celebration site and are just in full on upload everything that gets posted on the internet mode. I don't want to have to blacklist the tag long term to reduce clutter and miss out on any good stuff, but I also don't feel like seeing dozens of essentially the same Blue Archive images every time I browse the site or it feeling like it's mostly just that tag. Kind of hoping people chill a bit.

Artists will often publish their art on Twitter first before pixiv (where often the picture will be higher quality). Some uploaders prefer to not to wait and upload the twitter version right away, for multiple reasons. Sometimes the artist will never publish the image on pixiv, or the uploader wants to rake in upvotes by getting the inferior image up asap. This isn't exclusive to Blue Archive, you'll see it often with popular artists/series/characters. The game is at it's arguable peak right now, there is an absolute boatload of art being produced daily.

I realize this is probably an unpopular opinion, but IMO it's getting to the point where I'm finding it a little oversaturated right now, particularly the blonde bunny girl characters, which was fine for a while, but now it's like okay I've seen this stuff already lol. I guess you can call it a quirk of the fan scene in Japan in particular where everybody in a particular online circle kind of goes all in at all at once on one particular thing for months at a time and you just get an absolute deluge of essentially the same thing with slight variations.
Still kind of feels like a few uploaders are on a mission on danbooru right now though. Lots of uploads from artists that have basically little artwork or nothing has been uploaded from them in months or years, but because they drew some fanart for the game recently and those uploaders are clearly focusing on uploading anything to do with the game their stuff is getting uploaded further exacerbating that over saturation or I guess over sampling vibe.

Are you really complaining about popular games having loads and loads of characters getting loads and loads of fanart? Just add the game's tag to your personal blacklist if you don't want to see art from it.

I'm lamenting the excessive uploading of duplicate fanart in this apparent heavy push for uploading Blue Archive content yeah, and unfortunately I've had to blacklist it cause it's getting way too spammy right now. There's other gacha waifu games that are arguably way more popular and they're nowhere near this spammy and full of this many duplicate images even during heavy upload pushes. Sorry for the unpopular opinion.
