You mean like the artist commentary already mentions? You can just add the paid reward available tag, you don't need to bump the post.
Linking the relevant paid reward for a post is worthwhile, and since there's no real other place to do it aside from the comments, doing it like this is the correct approach.

And they still don't need to bump the post to do that. When they made that comment, the relevant fanbox post was the most recent one, anyone just using the link in the commentary would see it. I also fail to see how linking it directly is worthwhile, when you need to subscribe to the fanbox to see any of the posts' content, including the one linked. It's not as if you can purchase them individually. Paid reward available tells you enough by itself.

Even if the link is not accessible, archiving it in the form of a comment only adds some information. We don't remove source links for bad id or protected link either, even though the page behind it is not accessible to most if not all people.
I also don't get why you're so upset at posts being bumped. Most people probably aren't even aware they're doing it, and even if they are, so what? It doesn't hurt anyone, and it costs you nothing to just ignore it and move on.

I don't understand your point with that first paragraph. I didn't say anything about the link being inaccessible or that we should go out of our way to make sources and other relevant links inaccessible. I'm talking about bumping a post to link something that's already been linked by the artist. It's not as if we're going to nuke the commentary if the artist deletes the original post.
When I made these comments, this user had bumped several posts in a row just to link something that was already linked in the commentary. If the tags and commentary are already providing that information, why force the post to the top of the comments page just to repeat that information? Even their one feedback suggests it might be better to add those links as notes in the commentary, something I actually agree with. That's a great place for relevant links.
I don't understand why you're so upset at someone asking another user why they keep making useless comments. It wasn't hurting anyone, and it would have cost you nothing to just ignore it and move on, especially considering at this point you found those comments rather than seeing them on the comments page like I did. What was the point of reviving a two month old issue that no one cared about?

I have no opinion about bumping posts with these kinds of comments but the link provided in that comment is not equivalent to what the artist linked to in the commentary; there's a significant difference between linking to a specific Fanbox post and just the post index. An artist can have hundreds of paid posts and looking through all of them just to find that one specific reward is inconvenient, even more so if it it's been deleted. This would matter to someone interested in just that one reward, they wouldn't waste their time and/or money looking for a post that doesn't exist anymore. Linking to the specific post makes it possible to instantly find it and confirm it's still up regardless of how old it is. Same applies to any regular post source; I don't see why sources for supplementary material shouldn't be held to the same standard.

You could've told them about the no-bump option (or editing the commentary) without discouraging them from providing useful information.
