    Afaik, she's a god of the rain and the wind.

    was a comic (just had a hard drive failure and lost everything so I don't remember what it was called or who it was by) that was a story about the Suwa War, and Kanako was just called a God of War by Amaterasu in that, think thats where it started

    Kanako=Takeminakata (and his wife Yasakatome-no-kami)

    Takeminakata=god of war, wind, hunting,...etc.

    In the "original" Suwa battle legend, Takeminakata fights the Moriya god using vines, while the Moriya god uses metal rings.

    I think you can easily make a connection to the ZUN version of it, with loli-goddess vs. Onbashira.
