It was modelled and rendered in Zbrush, composited in After Effects. I had tried many things to make the clouds work in the zbrush scene but it ended up spinning too quickly during the turntable animation and it was pretty nauseating. So clouds were added in post as 2D elements to loop more slowly in the background. Everything else is 3D and is modelled in the scene. Halftone effects, chromatic aberration and line filtering added in After Effects also.
