In The Road Warrior (Mad Max 2) the car does indeed get that messed up. Right in the opening scene in fact, when Max rams somebody else's car from behind with it.

yes, but in the movie she just destroy a front part, here it's like it went througt a wall...

Right from the outset, the car was covered in scars and wear due to age and time on those wild roads (remember, TRW takes place years after the first movie.)

If anything, the car in this drawing looks *Better* than the real movie car.
