Since a picture needs no comments, this will continue on from the previous strip.
* August 28th. Hayabusa's Ion Engine's were suspended. Her chemical engines were used to decelerate while on approach to Itokawa.
* September 1st. Just 1900 km until Itokawa. Her relative approach velocity is 18 km/hr.
* September 4th. In preparation for her approach, observations and tests were carried out.
* September 5th. From the pictures taken over 6 days, an animation of Itokawa was produced. As expected, it had a reversed rotation as compared to the Earth.
* September 8th. 200 km until Itokawa. Filming was attempted, however, the details were still obscured.
* September 10th. What seemed like a crater came within sight.
* September 11th. Filming continued. Just 30 km. Given the distance, it may be said that only one more day was required until Itokawa was reached.
