stainless steel? are you nuts? you could not porpperly sharpen a stainless steel sword, it would break too easily thats why they use stainless steel for decoration swords [the more you know]
Yeah, stainless steels just aren't good for blades over so many inches. It would have to be well cleaned and dried relatively quickly. If it were salt water, it could start corrosion rather quickly.

I don't see her sharpening a sword in the pic. I see her finishing swimming with a sword (on purpose, no less). If that's what you intend to do, better use stainless steel than carbon steel.
