We might possibly want to consider a pool for images covering Selen/Doki's termination and subsequent Niji dumpster fire drama.

Looks like Elira, Vox and Ike seem to be manipulated into reading those documents in the stream. Wouldn't be surprised if that is the case.

Had heard for those with a work visa in Japan, the company could definitely use that as leverage. Was suggested that the company could make it very hard for them to get any future work visas for Japan, though would certainly like to hear from someone who might have knowledge on that.

I know when Musk took over Twitter, there were many of those who did stay because they didn't want to lose their work visa.

We could call it 'Selen Vs. Nijisanji' or 'The Self-Destruction of Nijisanji' or even 'Nijisanji: The Architect of Their Own Defeat'

On what planet did Niji even think this was even remotely a good idea? The original flames were dying out. So their next move is to dump gasoline on it? What the hell are they thinking?

A need to get the last word in? Or perhaps an attempt to make the damage seem negligible?
Either way, it's typical behavior for humans.

That stupid apology video alone would've done less damage than leaking confidetial documents to some of their livers and having them apologize on the company's behalf, not to mention the following tweet that can be summarized as "We did an investigation and the result is we did nothing wrong lol".

I bet you my figure collection that they're probably thinking that we'll eventually start behaving like Japanese people and shun Doki if only they slander her enough.

You mean full ret*rd? because that is what i see Anycolor did. They just sentence their own death warrant with this and the ship will sink even faster now. Unless he paid an entire legal system to go against this and that will be even more suspicious now that the entire company is at the spotlight and scrutinized in every single move.

Somebody in NijiEN's management, someone with enough actual power in the company to send a notice to investors, is REALLY ANGRY. Like, personally butthurt about this. That's what this behavior is. Because, like, everything they've done is ultra stupid. Obviously so. It literally would have been vastly better for them if they'd done nothing. You only do such incredibly stupid self sabotaging things like this if you are so angry that you are physiologically compelled to not do nothing. On the charitable assumption that Elira, Vox, and Ike were all threatened into doing this (it certainly seemed to me that their announcement had a kind of "Yes I'm Sure, Sure As Sure Can Be. *laser sight points at their head from off camera* I Have To Go Now!" vibe), someone was willing to sink all three of their careers in addition to all the bad press they've already gotten. None of this makes sense unless someone powerful is so angry that they've become stupid.

In other words someone in NijiEN with actual power is this pissed at Selen and is this intent on character assassinating her, and this person wasn't, like, just yknow, fired. For being terrible at managing whatever it is they're supposed to be managing.

    So, that's concerning.

    God I hope she's okay.

Currently I've been hearing that Elira, on her PL account, has been retweeting posts saying shit to Nijisanji and calling them "backstabbing scumbags", while she also changed her description to "I'm sorry". Something else that I've seen is that Zaion, when talking about Nijisanji, has also mentioned how they would make the livers believe they were nothing without Nijisanji, which, considering how a lot of them have talked about having Imposter Syndrome (Selen included), makes a lot of sense.

The more I look into it, the more I feel that maybe said theory is true.

Christ, this whole situation makes me wanna die. Imagine it from the Liver’s perspective though. You join this company because you want to entertain, you want to be a part of this group that you’re a big fan of and then you get all this instead. In the case of NijiEN these people wanted to be a part of something fun and unique and even make a name for themselves as part of this brand new English branch of a big global company. It must be soul crushing to get treated like nothing when all you wanted to do was follow your dreams and ambitions as a vtuber for this damn company.

I know someone tried coming to that conclusion based on her old twitter handle. She deleted that account upon leaving for Niji for a new person to take the same handle.

Wow, that negative reaction to the labor song being adapted to the Nijisanji situation. If a government sat somebody down and, at threat of being deported, made them read a prepared statement condemning her supposed friend who nearly killed herself, nobody would have any problem calling that oppression and railing against the system. That's like shit you see in movies.

But when a corporation does the same...? These things aren't like forces of nature you know, anything in society is a choice we make. If they were Indies, or even just in a Vshojo style arrangement, these three couldn't have been compelled in this manner. Years of fan love and trust, weaponized by a billionaire in his moment of need, destroying it all.

I wasn't surprised that Elira was being used to say untrue statements. It feels like NIJI used her as a chokehold. I am not sure if Ike and Vox have done the same too, retweeting tweets that shit on NIJI on their other accounts.

I did a spreadsheet during school for all NIJI EN livers whose subscriber counts have decreased and Elira and Enna have the highest with 29,000 subscribers lost on YouTube. It's not surprising because Elira posted that terrible apology and from what I've seen Enna went too far with her jokes. I will link the spreadsheet if you want.

Apparently can just tell how much of a messed up place Nijisanji is by looking at their job listings. From twitter and described by the user tinfoil.

    twitter quote

    tinfoil said:

I had this in the tank for later, but I think now is a good time: do you know about the job listing for a minimum wage, part-time, Nijisanji English Content Quality Staffer?

If you didn't know about it, buckle up. This one's a ride.

So basically, ANYCOLOR posted this job listing for a part-time quality control type of person who will be responsible for ensuring digital product quality: videos, voicepacks, stuff like that.

Sounds reasonable, right? Let's look at what kind of hire they're looking for.
    Desired qualifications:

    • Native level Japanese - fine, just domestic hires
    • Korean, Chinese skills a plus - yeah why not
    • Daily conversation level English - uh...

Well... maybe there's someone with better English up the chain. This could plug a gap? Let's continue.

Comp is Tokyo minimum wage (1113 JPY/hr) on a 3 month contract at the office. Prefer 5+ hour days, 3 days a week.

However, the only applicants that will be considered are high school, university, and trade school students that will graduate after March 2025.

    ...hmm.

So ANYCOLOR wants students who can only sort of understand English to be paid a minimum wage, part time job to screen Nijisanji EN's digital content.

This listing is a bit of an enigma. What kind of ideas and process leads to a job description like this?

That looks like a very private equity-style of listing; maximize revenue by minimizing costs.
Now I'm curious about their executives/management. This seems like something finance people would come up with.

Also they are going to hire high school students (from Japan or other places) to work for their terrible company it seems.

The more I find out about Elira and the more I hear about behind-the-scenes things, the less I'm liking.

While it falls into rumor and (GASP! conspiracy!) territory for some, we do know that Elira being one of the first English/Japanese speakers in the EN branch was rather involved with it behinds the scenes because she could converse and be a bridge to the JP side of things. And there's been speculation (which, frankly, at this time I think is more than just speculation) that she's had her own little clique (see: Zuttoღo), especially with Millie and Enna, and that they... weren't the best people to deal with.

Add into some of the Discord/other leaks that have confirmed to be real and make logical sense and those same people saying that Elira's pseudo-manager status became even more prominent and influential on the EN side of things after a lot of staff left NijisanjiEN in 2022 and with ID/KR branch implosion as well... It might be she had a lot more sway and weight to throw around on the EN side than what was realized and the "struggle session" stream with Vox and Ike was an attempt to cover her own ass and not necessarily something from corporate, especially the JP side of things.

Of course, a lot of it is speculation and we might never know the actually, full, truth of the matter... But I don't think the rot is just entirely with management and the company at NijisanjiEN. And I don't think the JP side and Riku Tazumi (and, no, I'm not defending him, Riku is a god-awful CEO that knowingly does things like give their talent a mere 2% cut of merch sales, and we know for a fact that's true, so screw him) likely just left the EN branch to their own devices until it affected him and the JP branch personally with the stock price tanking.

I said something about a spreadsheet that I made in school before midwinter break. I tried to make it visually appealing as possible. For now it’s just the amount of subscribers each EN liver lost. I might make other things related to this incident in the future. Any feedback is welcome.

    This is the spreadsheet.
