Did they forget to give her an energy stat, or does she use her shield to power distortion? Seems like a waste to me.

There are other units in starcraft that have skills with no energy stat. Zeratul and Stalkers come to mine. Instead of having energy there is just a cool down on skills. While units that do have energy are allowed to spam skills as long as they have enough energy for more than 1 casting.

Except Distortion's description clearly indicates that it requires 100 energy to use (with a 20 second cooldown)...

then theres also the cloning skill which is also protoss' equivalent of hallucination its perfect for Kanade to be more of the protoss side than any race in the game

I'm quite sure that's already possible with galaxy editor. Or even the map editor of the first game, actually. Making the unit rendering could be some pain though.

With the quality of the modding tools given by Blizzard for Starcraft 2, I'm sure it would be possible to create one such unit.
