All of the girls into him are walking disasters. They all attract danger, are pompous asses, and can't be honest with themselves. So yeah.. I'd say it's misfortune, no matter how cute they look.
But then, he attracts misfortune, so whatever. The only weapon he has is his dickish arrogance, and his only real luck is that that weird doctor is there to constantly save his life every time he pulls a miracle out of his ass.
