Not even the most cursed half-elf/half-something or half-dwarf/half-something that I've seen, Green Ronin's Bastards and Bloodlines for 3.5 was filled with rather "interesting" half-breeds, and its writer pretty clearly had a thing for bestiality.

lol yeah, the Wendigo race hybrid of Dwarf x Winter Wolf in particular was what made me go "hold up...who the fuck wrote this!?"
I'm certain that the author of said sourcebook would be like "but the winter wolves are sapient and can speak hence they're not animals!" but at that point you're just finding justifications for your own degeneracy.
This is without even mentioning the other hybrids mentioned in that book like the union of a Treant father x Elf mother, like I'm supposed to not raise an eyebrow at the idea of a tree getting funky with an elf girl. lmfao

Wait, wait, wait, wait... What?! Not familiar with D&D, but I'm raising a eyebrow here. Does a treant even have the ability to procreate (I mean, procreate in that way)? Is it done by... I dunno, mixing the magic essence of both or anything? No way someone dropped this into the world and didn't explain how that work.

Here's your explanation.

It is well known, though rarely discussed, that treants, dryads, nymphs, and elves can freely interbreed with one another.
So, yeah, apparently elves are capable of breeding with sapient trees without needing any magical or alchemical help to do so.
