And if you think about it, its kinda similar to how Hancock having been a slave means that everyone who learned her secret would treat her like trash (it was her stigma) and Luffy was the first person who flat-out told her that he didn't give a crap about such things and he liked her anyways.

Well, kicking ass during the battle of Marineford for one. As said to him beforehand, Luffy was pretty much an ant in a storm there. Of course, post-timeskip, he's probably much stronger.

Then you need to pay a little more attention to the story. Pre-timeskip Luffy was MUCH weaker than Hancock. Post-Timeskip Luffy is probably stronger than her...but even that is still unknown. For all we know, she coulkd still be slightly stronger...or not. But it doesn't matter cause the Luffy in this pic is Pre-Timeskip.
