Oh my....the story is so touching and yet a bit ironic. I really love them Aki Sisters and their kind and warm hearts.

I found this story familiar. I once read one about 2 brothers who kept carrying rice to the one another's house without the other guy knowing.

I said this in an earlier page, but I was reminded of Frog and Toad. There was a story just like this one where they go out to rake each other's leaves. I wonder if this is some sort of tribute...unless that story was inspired by some folk tale...

When I was an elementary school student, I read Frog and Toad in Japanese textbook. I wonder if it's put there today.
