Actually by both the look and the tags that's an 8-8, the shells are only 20 pounds. It would get tiring quickly in a sustained barrage, but for single shots like the text implies it wouldn't be too bad.

It'd be pretty strange to use yes well, for a reply though so I don't think it's German.

German =/= English with funny pronunciation.
The sooner you get this, the better.

jawohl, mein kommandant! Although the pic says anti-tank but the flak 88 was used mostly against air and sea targets, like it is in the picture.

    Why the anti-tank mention o.O?

Eh? You do know it WAS used as an anti-tank weapon right? Its the main cannon for the heavier German tanks too.

Well, not quite. The caliber of 88mm was a common heavy tank size, but the Flak 88 itself wasn't. (ie they didn't just drop a Flak 88 in the turret).
However, the Flak 88 as pictured was used as an immobile or very-restricted-mobility (if it was on wheels) anti-tank gun. That was what made the gun so special; the versatility to be effective as a "puffy" anti-aircraft gun, an anti-ship gun, and an anti-tank gun by simply swapping round types.

It's Jawohl, meaning "yes sir" in German.
