I think Nicole is less dumb than Aru, she can actually quick think (like in the first comic cutscene with the helicopter). She just have way worse luck (like in the first comic cutscene).

Aru isn't that dumb also, she's quite charismatic actually if situations demands it. Her overwhelming pureness just gets on her way most of the time.

Yeah calling her stupid is just joking on my part, her problem is she gets in over her head and it makes her look dumb.

To be honest, Nicole looks more like kirara_(blue_archive) to me
