You can hold it either way. Its just that holding it by the shorter part will give more accuracy, supposedly.

You know the settle details like the writing on the Humvee is what I like. Plus the little mouse in the basket just sells it more. I like this one out of the whole batch. Well at least second on my list the Star Wars one was the best one.

I caught that too but I figured it was kinda obvious given the artist's use of military references.
