Yup, all the characters are humans. As said previously:
dpsiko said: This comic is grounded mostly in reality, so non-human traits the characters have in other portrayals are normally going to either be ignored or worked around. Such as Tewi, Reisen, and Nazrin ears being part of a headband (Same most likely goes for Chen and Ran, since they were wearing hats.) Remi and Nue's wings are absent, the girls having no special powers, Shiki is a male, etc.
I should've corrected myself after I made that post, yeah. There are some exceptions such as Reimu's spirit interaction (which I forgot about at the time) and- depending on your take- the Eki's pet Yukkuri behaving closer to a full-blown pet animal rather than a disembodied head with human vocabulary and varying levels of intelligence.
So yeah, if there's something out of the ordinary with this comic from other depictions, there's probably an explanation for it.
KitsuneHanyo said: Reimu can still see spirits and interact with them though, so I suppose there are exceptions.
KWSN said: yeah i thought of that as soon as i made that comment, though it's no where near what powers she normally has.
Acttally, there are people who are born able to see and even communicate with spirits. Those people are very rare.
FlagIt was you who lifted her skirt first, wasn't it?That goes especially for people like you.Hmmmmmm.........Shiki?What the hell is wrong with that woman....That person is called Shiki Yuuka-san, and she is a horrifying being. Don't get too close to her.Be extra cautious when you approach flower beds and regular plants, because you cannot distinguish between them.I just got a great idea!Do NOT try any funny business!Absolutely not!
