@Necrobane Presuming you don't know the story, basically, Hitomi barely had a presence within Hololive, comparable to Aloe and her unfortunate early graduation, with only one stream, but it was compounded by the fact her short tenure was, from what little I've learned about her, muddled with a severe incident that led to Cover immediately terminating her. She has essentially been erased from Cover's history, and barely anyone knows about her or talks about her.
Summarized, she barely had a presence within the greater history of Cover and Hololive before she was terminated, she was terminated due to a serious incident, and barely anyone knows about her, talks about her, and Cover themselves essentially treat her as a non-entity.
An unfortunate road bump during Cover's initial outing as a Vtuber company, when they had far less experience. Calling her a road bump probably sounds too rude and disparaging, but it is essentially and unfortunately what she was during the beginning, compared to gals like Sora and A-Chan who helped serve as the essential, foundational building blocks for the future.
There is likely far more to the story, of which I only know a few scant but important details, as I've never looked too far into it.
Dude, three of them where added in just 7 months...
I'm honestly surprised there haven't been more graduations recently - pleasantly surprised, but surprised nonetheless. If you had told me during the VTuber boom in 2020 that more than half of Hololive's talents would see a fifth anniversary, I would not have believed you - five years ago may as well be the Mesozoic Era as far as internet culture is concerned, and "anime girl" based fandoms have historically been very hostile to the idea that their "waifus" might be older than 20, so I would have thought the deck would be stacked against Vtubers, particularly female ones, having long careers, and the VTuber industry would be one with an extremely high turnover rate. Personally, I think Hololive's level of retention over the five-year mark is nothing short of incredible, but I wouldn't be surprised if graduations start to pick up as more and more talents hit that five-year mark and some even start approaching ten years in the company.
There is no reason to be rude about this. Im not reading that. Hitomi Chris deserves to be memory holed because of the actions she took. Selling sexual favors for her streaming rig was plenty for Cover to kick her out.

No one is saying she didn't deserve to be terminated. Everyone's problem is you being rude about it for no reason. Chill out. You could have handled this by simply explaining to Necro why Hitomi isn't in the picture. It's not complicated. Plus that huge comment wasn't directed at you anyway. It was an explanation for Necrobane about Hitomi's history.
At end the of day, while I do feel like everyone, regardless of controversy or not, should included in this graduation picture since they all did work under Holo at some point, the artists work is their own, and we should respect it as such. Also there is no need to be rude and hostile to cases which we still don’t have straightforward answers to, nor things that have happened years before and should be discussed without bitterness. All we can really do is wish everyone who’s worked in Holo the best in their future careers and keep supporting them forward!<3
I hadn't check the reasons why, but to me it feels weird because she is one of the most successful vtubers in hololive with no problems at all. Unless she wants to pursue a bigger career (but she is a shut-in unless that was just a coverup) or something more personal related.
The general vibe I'm getting boils down to creative differences between her and management.
Creative differences is literally the reason given. She said she disagrees with the current company direction. If you want to speculate (don't go to wild with this), the most reasonable option imo is that she's not okay with the growing amount of concerts and live events. Aqua's always preferred gaming and is really shy. She just wants to play Apex.
One thing that I personally am not a huge fan of about these art pieces is that the artist decides to place Aloe next to Rushia. If one is aware of the "drama" that occurred between Aloe and Rushia's alternate personas, not long after Rushia was terminated, it makes their placement next to each seem kinda awkward and uncomfortable, but that's just me.

It’s not that big a deal putting 2 ppl next to each other on a drawing
Rushia literally threatened legal action over assumptions that Aloe was bad mouthing her, and even though Aloe simply wanted to talk it out in private, handle it civily, Rushia said she wouldn't do so without a lawyer, forcing Aloe to contact a law firm so Rushia would actually provide evidence of these allegations.
As much as I think Rushia deserves to be in this picture, it is 100% awkward to put them next to each other, since for all we know, their relationship is still strained due to Rushia's erratic actions. Remember, these are REAL PEOPLE behind the anime avatars.
This isn't the same as putting Reverse Flash and Flash, completely fictional people, next to each other in the picture. If for some bizarro reason, Sana one day revealed that she absolutely hated Mel and constantly fought with her, it would be really freakin weird to put them side by side. "Yeah. Let me put the two people who hate each other's guts right next to each other. That's not awkward at all."
Your willingness to let the ultimately petty squabbles of strangers decide your feelings for you is your problem. You can either take back control of your emotions or get used to the misery that comes with self-imposed slavery. What you can't do is expect the rest of the world to accommodate for your disability.

So when turkey season comes around and the clan gathers for the festivities at your place, you don't go through the trouble of seating the two cousins who love nothing more than to sling insults at each other and ruin the party at opposite ends of the table?

Dude relax. You're acting as if I'm coping and seething over Aloe and Rushia standing next to each other. All I said was that it's a little weird and awkward. I'm not agonizing over it, I'm just saying it's kinda weird. Everything you just said is nonsensical and a severe overreaction to me saying "That's kinda weird."

Always a fun time when people who have definitely had "This doesn't sit right with me" feelings about something act like someone else expressing that sentiment is mentally disabled and overreacting for a having a mild and reasonable negative reaction to something normal people have mild negative reactions to in everyday life.
You and Marc are acting like I had a mental breakdown over a cute chibi art piece when all I did was calmly express that it's kinda weird to put two girls who probably don't like each other IRL next to each other.

I never said I had any mental break down tho… maybe you’re hearing voices 😭

When you can't separate a copyrighted avatar from the person, you act like having a mental breakdown. These characters belong to Hololive, not the person behind their voices. Will you do the same when two voice actors don't get along well on any production? It happens all the time.
For what the fandom care, they could be lesbian and have yuri sex each other. This doesn't have anything to do with real life people having a match in a court room.

"When you can't separate a copyrighted avatar from the person"
Dude, that is LITERALLY what Vtubing is all about. The "copyrighted avatar" is not some character that the livestreamer pretends to be in the same way a Voice Actor voices a cartoon character. In Vtubing, you are your avatar, and the avatar is you.
The topic obviously has more complexity to it, but the bottom line is that the association or connection between the streamer and their vtuber is an extremely close one. For someone trying to speak about vtubers, you show a shocking lack of basic knowledge about Vtubers that literally everyone in the Vtubing Fandom understands.
Fans of vtubers are not fans of the vtuber model. They are fans of the person behind it. When the owners of Kizuna Ai tried to replace her with a different voice actress, everyone hated it. It was disrespectful to the original actress. Rushia and Aloe may be operating under new names, new personas, new models these days, but that doesn't change the fact that they once were Rushia and Aloe.
Pardon the open acknowledgement of other personas, but Mikeneko, Rushia, Nazuna, these are all the same person. If the person behind Mikeneko does something bad, that will justifiably color the perception of Rushia and Nazuna, because at the end of the day, the person behind Mikeneko, is the same person behind Nazuna and Rushia.
Barring the possibility vtubers are faking their personalities to their audiences, a possibility that applies to literally all humans ever, streamer, actor, or not, you can't separate the Vtuber from the streamer. They're one in the same.

Vtuber fans care a whole hell of a lot about the person behind the avatar. It's literally the entire draw of the characters. Fans care so much about it that successful agency vtubers retain a large portion of their fanbase when they go independent, despite losing the avatar they used to earn that success. It doesn't matter who the avatar belongs to, if fans didn't care about the person behind it then retired avatars wouldn't be dumped in the closet when the person leaves the company. Fans will not accept another person using the avatar.
It's not the same thing as a pre-established character getting a new VA, vtuber avatars are completely blank slates until someone brings them to life. Not that it even matters because people act like this with voice actors and regular actors and always have. There's a reason character cameos in videogames specifically use the most recent movie actor's likeness for that character (if they can get the rights to it).
Your willingness to let the ultimately petty squabbles of strangers decide your feelings for you is your problem. You can either take back control of your emotions or get used to the misery that comes with self-imposed slavery. What you can't do is expect the rest of the world to accommodate for your disability.
This is needlessly combative over someone expressing their personal view in a comment thread.
You know nothing about produced vtubers from the looks of it. They are only voices. They didn't design the avatar, they don't decide in what game, manga or music video they want to be. Cover Corp. does. They could even change the voice actress if they wished because Cover Corp. has property of the avatar. The voice you don't know her face is a replaceable employee from a big company. In The Simpsons characters are dead when the voice behind is dead too, this is not different. That doesn't stop Matt Groening from owning rights and taking decisions over those characters like replacing the voice actor. Same energy.

As stated here, the reason the person could be any other avatar is because she is not the character but the voice behind it. If the company considers an avatar still profitable, they have every right in giving it a new similar voice instead of killing it or creating a new one. You can't do anything about that except not consuming the product. Something that you will consume even when complaining about it, just like previous drama history has shown.

So why isn't anyone doing it then? Oh, that's right, because they tried to do that with Kizuna Ai and it didn't go over very well.
It's been five years since and nobody's tried it even once. There is no profit to be made in trying replace the person behind the avatar. The masses have spoken thusly.

you really know nothing about vtuber. if anyone tried to replace the so-called "voice" behind vtuber, especially one as beloved as Aqua or any of the girl in this pic, they would be cancelled out of existence, as the Kizuna Ai drama have shown, replacing "voice" of a vtuber is not tolerated, the "voice" and the character is one, they are not replaceable.
Are you really aware she's not only a Vtuber? I do. This image was not made by her, the avatar she used was not designed by her. The songs she featured in were not composed by her. The games and manga she could be featured by any Cover product are not her. And overall the reason she could not take this avatar with her is because she can't take property about something she doesn't own. Hololive does. Maybe you will understand this when some official Holo brawl stars game appears with any of these characters without voices appears one of these days.

The two of them have already made peace although they agreed to go their separate ways. It was a dramatuber named Narukami who lied and falsified evidence that Mano Aloe was the source of rumors against Rushia. The dramatubers don't want to persecute their own so they continued to double down saying that Mano Aloe and Rushia have a strained relationship while not pointed out the fact that a JP dramatuber got in trouble.

Thank you for the clarification. Much appreciated.
