Dead thumbnail for me

When that happens, add it to the Missing Thumbnails pool.

I figured verification would be due for that one.

Just because it is good for you doesn't mean you have the right to take it out because it's fine for you.

Are you sure you're not caching the bad thumbnail? If it's good for one person, it should be good for everyone; the sample thumbnail is only generated a single time on the server, not dynamically for each request.

Leaving it in the pool for now, because I might be mistaken about the nature of the problem here, but the thumbnail is good for me, too.

...And immediately after posting that comment, the thumbnail showed up as broken for me on the comments page.

So yeah, I don't know what's going on. It was definitely fine for me a minute ago, though.

There's another image that I'd have to dig through my comments history to find where the thumbnail alternates between broken and working and has been for months.
