True. However, using the standard apostrophe-s makes it look like he's talking about a single youkai rebelling. Using s-apostrophe avoids the ambiguity, even if it breaks the standard pluralizing rule. (Plus his "Aa" opening and general informal speech imply more of an "uh-huh" than an "indeed" to me.)
