No, the "free pass" was metaphorical - what I actually meant was that Remilia gave Reimu the privilege to visit the SDM at will, just as Remilia can visit the Hakurei Shrine anytime she wants.

I guess Remillia got sick of the constant begging for donations.

It's obvious that Meiling was sleeping, Reimu modified and left the donation box there, and came to collect later.
Noone's the wiser, and everyone is happy. Some are now just a little richer than others. Only a -little- richer, but still.
