remeber that her ability is not based only on gaps that work like portals but the manipulation of gaps between almost anything, she can bend the reality at will if she has an idea of how to calculate it, usally Ran does the calculation, but that's why even Zun mentions that her ability is almost God like. So making a gap that shows how matter stretches across two points is not really that hard.

According to PMiSS it is indeed "Manipulation of boundaries", using gaps in physical reality is just one way to use this ability The exact details and explanations don't look easy to me though.

Her ability is that of manipulating any kind of boundaries, be it physical or abstract. In Imperishable Night, she messed with the boundary between day and night to prevent morning from arriving. She also deals with barriers, including the Great Barrier of Gensokyo. So basically, she's in possession of an almost godly power. She might have some restrictions like... mana capacity or something though.
Guys, isn't it way to hard to think that she just moved the gap? What makes you think she can't move her gaps at will while using them? She's master of borders and boundaries, for god's sake!
And what's with the thinking about she can stretch her arms THAT long? That was creepy, dude.
