Seems to be that that's the artist's drawing style... narrow eyes in place for a cheek so big you could park a bus.
I can see the glancing through the artists other stuff. This particular image is pretty far beyond style imo. Def into territory of bad anatomy. Her eyes are just straight up on her forehead in this picture.
