I'm not expecting too much for the coming months. However, I'm expecting a big spike around April 2025 when the World Expo (expo2025) in Osaka will open. Remember the myaku-myaku logo monster thing that was all over the place 4-5 years ago? That's for this event. The Holy See is also participating at this Expo at the Italian Pavilion, and will be collaborating with 4 artists with ties to Japan.
As required by the Statutes of the Expo, the Holy See has also appointed four artists as its ambassadors to lend prestige to its presence at Osaka 2025: Etsuro Sotoo, a sculptor originally from Fukuoka who, while working at the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona where he discovered Antoni Gaudí, converted to Christianity (he will receive the Ratzinger Prize on 22 November); Cecco Bonanotte, an Italian sculptor much loved in Japan; conductor Tonomi Nishimoto; and manga artist Kan Takahama, internationally known for her series Nyx no lantern.
Ngl normally I would look forward to all the NSFW stuff because it is funny, and because most of the time it is from random brands doing it anyway. But this girl was made with such a nice message that I really just hope that the NSFW artists will tone it down a bit or wait a while until the storm passed. Anya for example, I know the manga is successful now and sure there is a bunch of NSFW stuff of her, but she is a cute and funny and nice girl in a happy and cute and funny manga about family, that most art of her is just her being happy. I just want a pile of the normal cute and happy pics first so we can hide all the NSFW underneath.

This comment made me think... A few years ago, the counter-cultural thing was being ironic and defiling whatever was pure. Nowadays, what seems to be counter-cultural is being sincere and protecting what little purity remains out there. Weird how things develop sometimes.

Rule 34 used to be a joke, but now it's an accepted fact of the Internet, to the point where people who make smut are expected to make smut of everything. It used to be amusing, now it's just like beating a dead horse (no pun intended), even for people who love smut.
It was well known even at the time they started calling it rule 34 that someone somewhere is going to draw smut of the things you'd never think they'd draw smut of. If it's unfunny, well that's what happens when you try and make a joke of a non-joke. The only difference from then and today is the lack of naivety in thinking it won't be drawn by someone somewhere and the ease of which such content can be distributed.

You know what, I changed my mind now. I kinda wanted this to keep up around her release so her image is not too tainted, but now after the hype died down I realized she was not tainted enough. Very disappointing nanodesu. I want more quality r18 artworks, but sadly only Hews did 3 for her so far, the other r18 stuff are either low effort/quality or AI stuff.
