The amount of effort put into this is impressive, but I am not really a fan of the realistic style. He hasn't achieved anything a photograph couldn't. Chances are that he actually worked from a photo. I have never really liked still life pictures either. All the artist is trying to communicate here is that he likes icecream, and probably doesn't have an allergy to nuts (unless thats why he hasn't taken a bite yet). [/pretentious]

The message you catch from any image is the one you decide [sounds weird but that's how it is].
The are as many messages from a single image as many people have seen it [I can't type what I want to say properly since my English is pretty lame].
Neither I like still life, but this is impressive.

I completely agree, and I probably could of phrased my true intent much more clearly and concisely by saying "It doesn't excite me as much as it seems to excite previous posters". With that said, I am off to go buy some Haagen Dazs.

It's sort of like watching the latest and greatest developments in robotics -- it's an amazing testament to the power of human ingenuity and effort, but there's always a voice in the back of your head saying "shit, I could have picked up that egg and it wouldn't have cost several thousand dollars".
