because it was (more or less hinted) impossible for kyuubey to bring back the death. In fact kyuubey wishing powers had some terrible limitations.

No. QB said explicitly she could even wish for being an omnipotent God. They didn't revive Mami because plot.

Also, stop spoiling and quoting spoilers, FFS.

It was Homura who implied that you can't bring someone back from the grave.

The picture is pretty much a spoiler.

Ep 5, around 13:10. Towards the end of her talk with Madoka.

That's not an excuse to post unmarked spoilers. If you want to avoid spoilers and blacklist the tag, you can still see the comments. Even if you don't blacklist them, the chances that you will get what happened from the thumbnail alone are pretty slim in comparison.

Considering the nature of the story, I'm not sure if using a wish to resurrect Mami will be a good idea at this point. I don't think its just because of the plot, but the whole thing was that Mami herself, along with Homura, told Madoka not to make a pact and Homura actively blocks Madoka from making one. I don't think Homura has purely altruistic reasons, even if she passionate about them, while Mami was willing to die for others. I felt that her death was a bit to type-cast with the, "I ENJOY LIFE SO MUCH RIGHT NOW" since, in my opinion, her death happened too quickly afterword. I think an extra episode or two before her death may have done some good but her death pretty much set the rest of the story in motion, so I think that is just the corner they wrote themselves in.

That part's pretty much right out of Faust. As part of the deal, when you reach the zenith of happiness, you die. Or lose your soul.

My issue isn't with the concept, its the execution.

That was more like she trying to make madoka give up more than a fact, it wasn't technically stated that the wish of brining her back wouldn't work.

Which is why I said "implied."

I agree with the majority of what you said, except the above. Mami, not being aware of the soulgem issue or the fact MS turn into witches without purifying theirs, strongly wished for Madoka to become a MS, but wanted to let her decide. After Madoka promised to join her before the batte with Charlotte, Mami was happy (then dead). And before Madoka could even get over the initial shock, things started moving at a pace where sitting down and thinking it through was outright impossible. With Madoka finding out about Sayaka in ep. 9, we're probably going to pass the plot event horizon and observe the start of a massive SHTF where Mami will be literally the last issue on the list.
