34 was just a randomly chosen number. Then someone decided to compile a full list by padding it with boring and pointless stuff. The first two rules, in particular, are a newbie staple.

Yep, the 'list' can be found on there (http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/Rules_Of_The_Internet, not sure if we're allowed to post links like this), though LaC is right; mostly boring and pointless stuff. Couldn't agree more with Rule 41 though: "No matter what it is, it is someone's fetish. No exceptions." I once read on a board that some guy was looking specifically for pic of a girl who had her head pan removed (like in Hannibal) and was fingering her brains with a gun 'cause he thought it was hot. Though Rule 47 is right as well: "There will always be more fucked up shit than you just saw."
