According to his pixiv profile he's a self-employed 41 year old in metropolitan Tokyo.

I actually worried about this couple (and other artists) when I knew about the earthquake.

They are saying it´s like 11:00 a.m. or so there as I write this, so maybe they haven´t been that heavily affected where they live, the infrastructure at least.

Tokyo should recover fairly quickly. Sendai however being hit the hardest, will take years to fully recover. Hope everything goes well for the people over in Japan.

うちは派手に揺れた程度ですみましたが、知人宅はいろんなものが崩れて大変だったみたいです。
あんな揺れは生まれて初めてでした。長周期揺れで酔いそう(^^;)

今日の分も書いていたのですが、タイミング的にかなり不謹慎なネタになってしまいましたので、急遽『がんばれ小傘さんVol.1』のおまけポストカード用に描いてたものをアップします。

I wish paletweb carried his Kogasa-san books. Would love to have this series in physical form.

I don't know how popular it is on Pixiv, but certainly somewhat popular here on Danbooru, at least seems that way since it gets uploaded and translated all within a hour. Maybe he could make back a bit of that expense by selling it to us westerners.

Well, it's a relief to hear that he's okay!

I wonder how many artists in Japan know how popular their work is over here...?
