EDIT: The pixiv description of this image does say something like "This is what I promised, why is it happening this way?"

It's impossible for that to happen to them though considering the circumstances of how they went out.

Well, since her own Soul Gem seems to be missing from this picture (the empty space of skin on her chest is where it should be) I'd guess that in this picture, Kyouko is holding her own Grief Seed.

Suddenly, this is hilarious in hindsight. Kyouko gets a witch form in the PSP game named Ophelia.
