Yep. It's a betrayal and a needless tragedy from stem to stern, even all the talented creatives who've done such amazing fan works of Sinder now feel left in the lurch.
I'm more of a wannabe writer, but I have considered the particular ethical hazards that come with this stuff because vtubers are people, not because it's wrong to make fan works of them or whatever, it's the opposite, they are the uncontrollable risk factor.
They can victimize or be victimized in ways that fictional characters definitionally can't.
May I be a tad skeptical? Model makers and riggers seem like they're enjoying a boom at the moment. Lots of demand, especially for those who think they want or need cutting edge tech. That's a nice bargaining position to be in. Maybe even so nice it's scary. Add that brand recognition may be dependent on the artist's work?

Even more so if the one calling them out actually made art under them. If they mistreated a previous artist, the only ones that would possibly work for them are those who are somehow out of the loop or can't find any other clients and are really desperate for money.

Manipulating a free artist to try to force them to work exclusively for you is quite a bit worse than being an asshole. Though yes, there’s a good chance she could bounce back from this eventually.
If a client is behaving this way, it is entirely reasonable to warn others. The goal isn’t to ostracize, but to protect other artists. Better for her to take a hit on her rep than to let another artist be manipulated.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Though, if you read the document carefully and see that Nano was fine with the exclusivity, but was not happy with the terms of the deal (exclusivity & blacklisting other creators 1+2) you can doubt even the good of intentions. Nano cancelled models in 2023 while lying about health issues and laughing in Discord with Red (damage control 1), but nobody seems to mind it?.. I keep thinking, maybe they just didn't agree on something and Nano just decided to flush Sinder down? Although it's a pure conspiracy theory with no proofs and just guesses.

That one sentence completely negates any good faith anything you've said prior to this might have had.
We have logs of conversations showing both Sinder and her "manager" gaslighting and manipulating Nano, and all you care about is "Well maybe Nano is just a petty bitch."

All screenshots are dated, you know? The earliest one is from 2023. Talk about exclusivity was for over a year, and then she just went and terminated everything now? She didn't say no too, it was a public termination, and she even partially got involved in shady exclusivity. Plus, Sinder's side manipulation and Nano's beating around the bush with exclusivity at the same time for more than a year sounds extremely wild to me. I didn't say Nano is a bitch, don't put words in my mouth, please. Though, Nano is not petty at all, you can go to her website and look at her prices, she lives in Brazil too. Don't have faith in anybody, that's bad

Do you just think that everyone that ends up in an abusive relationship figures out it's abusive on the first day? So what if it took her a year or two to figure out what they were doing to her was wrong and work up the courage to speak up about it? Why do people like you always obsess over dates and argue if they didn't do something about it as early as theoretically possible they must have some ulterior motive?
You implied that the only reason Nano is speaking up is to specifically bring down Sinder over a disagreement. That's "petty bitch" behavior.

Nope. Though, we have a very specific case with a lot of obvious Red (ha!) flags. Though, of course there is another option, but I don’t think that Nano is so gullible, especially since this goes against the grain since she would have simply agreed to an exclusive contract a long time ago. Remember, she's the artist, she sets the price. Sinder's side could negotiate about terms but the last word would be Nano's. And talking behind people's backs didn't bother her for ages.

And I highly doubt she would just terminate everything over Lily paranoid talk (this month, the latest screenshots, exclusivity & blacklisting other creators 3,4,5,6,7) especially since Red in those screenshots talking about planning "demon update list + final arcade reference" and only a week ago Nano made an outfit for Cinder.
