I don't recognize this in particular from anywhere, but I swear I've seen this scene/setting somewhere else, I just can't remember where.

Is it used in some fable or fairy tale or something? Well, without the bewbs I mean, just the "Person in hospital bed dying when the leaf falls" thing.

The story is "The Last Leaf" by O. Henry (same guy who wrote "The Gift of the Magi").

I sincerely find this quite enjoyable
