Well, I think the characters keep some characteristics. For example, Remilia was said to be allergic to sunlight, or something similar, in a previous comic.

Well, yes, but for all intents and purposes, Orin is a cat, basically. Despite being 'human' in here, I'm assuming something about the onions disagrees with a cat's tounge, maybe the acidicness that makes you cry when you peel and slice them?

If I remember my biochem classes correctly, the sulfur-based alkaloids of onions are highly toxic to cats. I'm a bit tired to actually look up the full nine miles, but I think that's the gist of it...
