Background: In late May 2025, Helldivers 2 players saw a major Illuminate invasion targeting Super Earth's cities, with Equality-On-Sea (仰齐滨/超级上海, "Super Shanghai") and York Supreme (棒约克/超级纽约, "Super New York") surviving to the last, thus becoming critical battlegrounds. It was not far before Equality-On-Sea getting more likely to survive. As the developer, Arrowhead adding more debuff to this campaign, and it was workday in China Mainland, some Chinese players went to Discord asking for help from US players due to the time difference, and it worked. York Supreme was tactically abandoned in favor of supporting Equality-On-Sea and fixing DSS Space Station. The repair of the space station was a significant turning point, weakening enemy forces and removed almost all the debuffs added by Arrowhead, and altered the developers' intended narrative for ending up the campaign at Prosperity City (荣都/超级斯德哥尔摩, "Super Stockholm"). The event was defined by unprecedented international cooperation, as worldwide players, particularly from China and the US, united to defend these locations around the clock.
